Would you like to invite anamed to conduct a training seminar?
Thank you very much for your efforts in encouraging the use of Natural Medicine, it is one thing that has really make people here happy, because now they can use herbs to treat diseases which they thought could only be treated by a doctor. (Rosalia Oyweka, Kisumu, Kenya)
If you would like to invite anamed to run a seminar for health workers, healers and others in your locality, please contact Dr Hans-Martin Hirt, Dr Keith Lindsey or your national anamed group (See anamed worldwide). You will then be given information about the costs of the seminar, which include the costs of materials, food and accommodation, and the travel costs and fees for the facilitators.

Usually seminars are run for three consecutive years.
In the first year participants are given a thorough grounding in Natural Medicine using the anamed seminar handbook. As well as imparting new knowledge through interactive teaching, the seminar includes a lot of practical work and groupwork.
Following the seminar we expect that participants:
- establish a garden of medicinal plants.
- make some Natural Medicines.
- treat some complaints and diseases.
- teach others in their localities what they have learnt.
In the second year, we provide opportunity for participants to share their experiences with each other and to learn from each other. We repeat a lot of the content of the first seminar, to ensure that participants have a thorough grasp of both the principles and practise of Natural Medicine. Some subjects we treat more deeply. We expect participants then to be much more confident in Natural Medicine
Following a third training seminar we expect participants to be sufficiently confident and competent in their practise of Natural Medicine that they can organise training events in other parts of their country, and engage with senior officials in their universities and Ministry of Health.
