anamed international has three main areas of work:

Week-long training seminars in Natural Medicine in the Tropics.

anamed Publications publishes books and materials that give precise details of how to make Natural Medicines using about 60 different plants that are found in the Tropics.

The anamed Artemisia Programme undertakes research and promotes the cultivation and use of Artemisia annua anamed (A-3).

anamed helps communities and health centres in the Tropics to become more self-reliant in preventing and treating the most common diseases and health complaints.

By producing training materials and running training seminars, anamed enables local people to produce highly effective “Natural Medicines”.

In this way, in even the poorest communities, many lives are being saved, even AIDS patients are strong and healthy, and health centres are becoming less dependent on imported medicines.

anamed is a small but very active charitable organisation based in south-west Germany.

As a result of the work of anamed, we are delighted to report that, especially in Africa:

• many have been healed of malaria.
• the lives of many AIDs patients have been dramatically improved with artemisia tea and moringa leaf powder.
• diarrhoea is no longer a killer of young children, where anamed anti-amoeba tea is known and used.
• many healers and doctors and nurses no longer mistrust each other but are working together.
• “Natural Medicine” is providing the means for many people to work constructively together in the community.
• some of the poorest people are being helped to improve their standard  of living.

We invite you to work together with us - to enable people living in the Tropics to become more self-reliant in preventing and treating the most common diseases and health complaints - by utilising and developing their own resources.

The work of anamed is inspired by the life and ministry of Jesus Christ, and is therefore rooted strongly in the Christian Faith. In the same way that Jesus healed all people, irrespective of their background, anamed seminars are open to people of all Faiths and none.

Rosalia Oyweka and Tamima Omondi are experienced anamed trainers in Nyanza Province in Kenya. This beautiful artemisia ointment was made during a seminar held in 2007 near to Kisumu.

The fight against mercury soaps. anamed is very disturbed by the sale of products in Africa that cause health to be destroyed. Our new poster illustrates the health risks faced by women who use skin lightening soaps and creams, especially those that contain mercury.
